Our Mission

The Project  T.O.O.U.R., Inc. mission is:

  • To create opportunities for quality and affordable housing;  
  • To plan, develop, and sustain a system to build a skilled workforce for the local labor market;
  • To plan, develop, and implement activities that promote neighborhood revitalization;
  • To foster the opportunity for all community residents to participate in civic affairs that affect their daily lives;
  • To build and coordinate a collaborative delivery system to provide social services to meet community needs;
  • To assist economic development efforts by fostering a skilled workforce and development of job creation efforts;
  • To deliver quality services to our citizen-clients in a responsive, responsible and efficient manner. 

Who We Are

 

Project T.O.O.U.R., Inc. (Teaching Our Own Understanding and Responsibility) is a non-profit 501 [c][3] organization currently serving communities in Greater Baltimore.  Serving as the umbrella organization for the neighborhoods of Lakeland, Mt. Winans, Westport and the Westport/Mt. Winans Homes in South Baltimore, Maryland. Project T.O.O.U.R., Inc. will work with each community to create a comprehensive plan that will improve the overall quality of life, health, education, environment, safety and economic status of its neighborhoods.
